Insects are hoards of cockroaches and other bugs that have become vampiric under the effect of the Shroud. These creatures can congregate together to form a mass that is humanoid in shape, and attack Rayne as well as her foes. Insects cannot be killed by slashing or shooting, only by fire. They nest inside the bodies of their victims, where they reproduce, slowly eating their internal organs to draw energy. If disturbed or if there is a loud noise, they will burst out and attack.
